In this video, I explain the four different types of immigrants and the characteristics of immigrants in the Capital Region; it is complete with quotes from Guilderland High School students and a cute little robot demonstrating the proper steps to becoming a naturalized citizen.

This is a small analysis of the survey done on the students and teachers of Guilderland High School. The survey included a mock Citizenship exam and questions about opinions on immigration; 82 responses were collected.

This month's project is a mix of many things. To begin with, there are two different infographics that detail different aspects of life as an immigrant. The first is a world with all the world's flags that has the quote from the Statue of Liberty; this represents how we are a country of many others and serve as a point of unity. The second is an infographic detailing the current controversy with ICE and the legal system. It provides a few key quotes and statistics about the struggle. To see these, click the photo. Finally, an addition to this month's project is a few quick stories from three girls at GHS about family traditions or family history; this was a small trial run of a larger idea that will happen in a future SDA.

This SDA is largely based on the song written for the movie The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and in it, the same themes of persecution and fear are found.
